Honda is helping to celebrate the Centenary of the Isle of Man TT with an array of legendary riders and iconic motorcycles.

Honda has been racing in the Isle of Man for 48 years and has been responsible for some very impressive riders and machines during the years.

To mark the Centenary, and the link between Honda and the TT which has produced so many memorable men, machines and moments, the company has lined up a number of riders and important motorcycles for TT 2007.

A large number of Honda’s riders and machines will take part in both the Dunlop Lap of Honour on Monday June 4 and the MCN Parade of Champions on Friday June 8.

Plus, a number of machines from Honda’s racing history from the TT and World Championships will be on display in the Atrium at the Sefton Hotel, Douglas, from 11am until 5pm on June 2 to 7.

The Honda representatives in the Lap of Honour are hoped to include Jim Redman on a Honda NR750, Tommy Robb on a Honda RC163, Luigi Taveri on a Honda RC145, Ralph Bryans on a Honda RVF-RC30, Stuart Graham on a Honda RC174 and John McGuinness on a VTR1000SPW.

For the Parade of Champions many of the same riders will be out on the same machinery, although McGuinness is due to switch to an RS250 and Ron Haslam is due to join the line-up on a Honda VTR1000 SPW/SP-1.

All machines are subject to confirmation and availability.

On display at the Sefton Hotel will be, from the Honda Collection Hall, Motegi, Japan, a Honda RC145 and Joey Dunlop’s 2000 Formula One TT-winning Honda VTR1000SPW/SP1.

There will also be the Honda RVF-RC30 Carl Fogarty rode to victory in the 1990 Senior TT, a Honda RVF-RC45 World Superbike, a Honda Six RC174, the 1993 Formula One winning Honda RVF-RC30, ridden by Nick Jefferies, a Honda RC173 ridden by Mike Hailwood, Joey Dunlop’s 1995 Senior-winning Honda RVF-RC45 and Honda NR750.
