Isle of Man TT star Conor Cummins will race for McAdoo Kawasaki in two upcoming road race meetings.

The Ramsey man has agreed a deal with the team which will see him contest the Southern 100 and Ulster Grand Prix on Kawasaki machinery.

Cummins, the 2007 Duke Road Race Rankings champion, was one of the stars of the Centenary TT marking himself out as a man to watch.

At this year’s TT he started at number two on NCT Vanfit Yamaha machinery, but struggled to make the impact he had hoped.

The 22-year-old will be hoping to revive his road racing fortunes with a swap to McAdoo.

McAdoo missed the 2008 TT after parting company with rider Ryan Farquhar. Farquhar did attend the TT, riding Harker Racing Kawasaki machinery and notched up another podium finish around the famous Mountain circuit.

After his disappointing 2008 TT, Cummins will race McAdoo’s Kawasaki ZX-10R and ZX-6R Ninja machinery.

The first meeting for the pair is the Isle of Man Steam Packet Southern 100, held around the Isle of Man’s Billown circuit. Practice gets under way on Monday evening, with racing on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and a full day of race action on Thursday, Championship Day.

The team will then travel to the Ulster Grand Prix in mid-August.
