A new minister has taken the helm of the government department responsible for the Isle of Man TT.
Martyn Quayle has been appointed Tourism and Leisure Minister by Isle of Man Chief Minister Tony Brown.
He replaces Adrian Earnshaw, who was in charge of the Department of Tourism and Leisure for the Centenary TT celebrations in 2007 and this year’s festival.
Mr Earnshaw replaces Mr Quayle at the Department of Home Affairs in a straight switch.
Mr Brown said the reshuffle came after reviewing the performance of his ministerial team over the past 19 months.
He added the change would be beneficial to the Isle of Man Government in that it would provide an opportunity to give wider experience to the two ministers involved.
Mr Brown said he was satisfied his ministerial team is working together well, has developed and is acting cohesively in the best interests of the Island. Therefore, he added, he did not want to make any other changes to the team.
The Chief Minister said he is pleased Mr Quayle and Mr Earnshaw had welcomed their new roles, the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead.
